iDiverse Opens R&D Lab

Del Mar, CA, June 18, 2007 – iDiverse today announced that it has begun research and development work on its gene technology in newly leased space.

“We believe we have the ideal opportunity to demonstrate the benefit of our technology to the fuel ethanol industry,” said John Burr, president and CEO of iDiverse. “A variety of key players in the industry are very interested in our work. We know that our technology protects yeast in very harsh environments. Now we have to demonstrate that it can also enable yeast to produce greater amounts of ethanol in the fermentation process.”

“It is good to have established our own lab”, said Richard Schneeberger, PhD, Head of Technology Development at iDiverse. “We are fortunate to have been able to get it up and running in a very short period of time. We plan to be quite aggressive in advancing our technology. Having our own lab and doing the majority of all work will help us keep on schedule. Up to this point, we have been conducting our work in the labs of academic collaborators and we will continue to rely on these individuals for their hard to duplicate skill sets that we do not have in-house.”

The iDiverse lab was leased from Active Motif, Inc. and is located at 1914 Palomar Oaks Way, Suite 150, Carlsbad, CA 92008.
